CDMX and The Face to Face Industry

 

Mexico is a market that has a very important geographical and strategic position for the United States and Latin America, it carries out over 300 thousand events every year, which accounts to 1.79 percent of Gross Domestic Product, granting over 890 thousand jobs around the country, according to data from the Secretaría de Turismo.

Mexico City has about 300 thousand inhabitants and had a  2.70 percent GDP growth in 2015 , it is the state with more professional events in Mexico covering 3.4 percent of the market, according to an Infoexpo research department report, among the events held are: exhibitions, conferences, forums , incentives and more.

 

The venues with the most shows in México 

 

México City is the home to three of the most important venues of both Mexico and Latin America: World Trade Center, Centro Banamex and Expo Bancomer, which are positioned amongst the top of 10 venues for all kinds of shows. The World Trade Center is located in the heart of Mexico City holding the first place, followed by Expo Guadalajara, the country's largest venue and the third in Latin America.

 

 

Health & Beauty is the industry with the most professional events

 

 

Health & Beauty contributes 1.23 percent of the GDP and it is anticipated that by 2019 the segment will grow by 11 percent, the Health & Beauty industry makes 17.95 percent of the events in México making it the leading industry in the country. One of the most important shows is Expo Beauty Show with more than 80 thousand attendees, in a study made by merca 2.0 magazine it is mentioned that “15% percent of the consumers identified this industry as a sector with high levels of creativity”.
